Ook in 2024 is het guesthouse bij het klooster in Nyerma (vlak bij Thiksey Monastery) weer open voor gasten. U kun boeken voor dit unieke guesthouse, met zicht op de Himalaya bergen, vlak bij mooie kloosters/ U kunt kennismaken met het leven van de Tibetaans Boeddhistische nonnen die sinds 2004 in dit klooster wonen. In de ochtend zeggen zij hun gebeden waar de gasten bij aanwezig mogen zijn. Vanuit deze plek zijn mooie plekken te bezoeken. Het guesthouse ligt tusssen eeuwenoude Stupa's. Er iis nog een 1000 jaar oude tempel, en u kunt dwalen tussen de ruines die ooit de eerste Boeddhistisch Universiteit in Ladakh was. Kortom: een onvergetelijke rust plek voor het inmiddels aardig drukke Leh, de hoofdstad van Ladakh.

The guesthouse opposite the nunnery in Nyerma (near Thiksey Monastery) will also be open to guests again in 2024. You can book for this unique guesthouse, with a view of the Himalayan mountains, close to beautiful monasteries. You can get acquainted with the life of the Tibetan Buddhist nuns who have lived in this monastery since 2004. In the morning they say their prayers in front of the guests. There are beautiful places to visit from this place. The guesthouse is located between ancient Stupas. There is another 1000-year-old temple, and you can wander among the ruins that were once the first Buddhist University in Ladakh. In short: an unforgettable place of rest in the now quite busy Leh, the capital of Ladakh.

Prijzen/Prices

Logies inculsief ontbijt en diner: 1800 Rupees per persoon, per dag. 1500 Rupees per persoon voor twee personen op een kamer. Lunch is mogelijk voor plm. 200 Rupees extra.                                            Stay including breakfast and dinner: 1800 per person, per day. 1500 Rupees per person per day for double room, including breafast and dinner. Luch is possible for +/- 200 Rps pp.

I found a special mandala

It carries many colors, shapes and streams

Smells, tastes and dreams.

It carries many sounds

Sometimes soft or sharp or loud

Sometimes shout shout shout shout

The mandala turns in it’s own way

It mirrors you a warm julley!

No part can live without the other

Some play here kid, some play mother

The dog, the birds, the plants, the earth

All has his creative magic worth

In this mandala everyone and everything

Is as a gem in a beautiful chain

A chain that seems to change and fall apart

But never can be broken, because it is a chain of heart

U bent welkom in het in 2007 gebouwde gastenverblijf, "Homestay the Taras", vlakbij het door de DFLN gebouwde nonnenklooster in Nyerma, niet ver van het bekende klooster in Thiksey.

You are welcome in the in 2007 built guesthouse, "Homestay the Taras", close to the by the DFLN built nunnery, not far from the famous Thiksey Monastery.

De plek is adembenemend mooi, met uitzicht op de sneeuwtoppen van de Himalaya. U kunt genieten van de rust van deze plek, waar tien eeuwen geleden het eerste klooster van Ladakh werd gebouwd. De ruïnes daarvan en de eeuwenoude stupa’s staan rondom het klooster. Een Stupa heeft een deur zodat u de oude muurschilderingen kunt bekijken.

This location is breathtakingly beautiful, wit a view of the snowcapped mountains of the Himalaya. You can enjoy the peace of this location, where ten centuries ago the first monastery and university of Ladakh was built. The ruines are stille there, as are many white painted Stupa's. You can enter one to see old wall paintings.
